Day Five ... Calgary

Very early departure from our West Kelowna hosts, John and Joice. Return the SUV beast, get through airport security and then ... ahhhh, coffee and breakfast at the airport White Spot.

Having driven all the way from Edmonton, cousin Jim and spouse Judy checked in to our Calgary airport hotel shortly after we did, and drove us downtown to Wallace Galleries for my opening there.

Jim and me. He's much older ... 9 months to be exact.
What does that tell you about my mother and Jim's (her sister)?

Back over the mountains on the Coquihalla highway.

Great shot of John and Joice (Valerie has been this trip's photographer) aside from the woman behind, sucking pulled pork from her molars. Taken at Old Vines Restaurant, Quails' Gate Wineries.

Day Three ... Abbotsford

After a leisurely and gracious breakfast prepared and served by our generous hosts, John and Joice, we hit the road for the three hour drive over the mountains on the Coquihalla highway. Arrived in Chilliwack at 1pm for a quick lunch, then on to Abbotsford for the really big shew.

Behind the Greek Islands Restaurant, Valerie finds Zeus ... and he's passed out and plastered!

From the sublime to the ridiculous all in the same restaurant. Remember these candy machines?

Mmm - mmmm, GOOD!

All the way from Vancouver, Dave and Stef join us for dinner before the opening at The Reach, in Abbotsford.

A banner year for Newk!

John and Joice made the trek from Kelowna.

Day is done, and so are we.
